Our Server Rules

Last updated: March 28th, 2024 @ 14:07

General Rules

  1. Respectful Behavior
    • No Harassment or Discrimination
      • Players should refrain from engaging in any form of harassment, discrimination, or hate speech based on factors such as race, gender, nationality, religion, or sexual orientation.

    • No Griefing
      • Intentionally disrupting or frustrating other players’ gameplay experience (e.g., spawn camping, continuous killing, or base destruction) is not allowed.
    • No Cheating or Hacking
      • Strictly prohibit the use of unauthorized software or exploits to gain unfair advantages.
      • Meta-gaming & stream sniping is prohibited.
    • No Exploiting or Glitching
      • Report any discovered exploits or glitches to server administrators.
    • No “Drama”
      • Whenever it comes to DayZ, we understand situations can become quite intense and competitive, however, we ask that you keep any and all ‘drama’ out of our public chats.

      • Please keep in mind that this is just a game – no situation is worth causing heated arguments.

    • No Hate Speech & Hateful Conduct
      • This includes spamming, racial slurs, griefing, trolling, or being toxic to other players.
    • No Explicit Content (NSFW)
      • Without consent, is treated as harassment and is subject to a ban

Gameplay Rules

  1. No killing in PvE
    • PvE is designed to be a “safezone” against other players. Killing other players in PvE is strictly prohibited and is subject to a ban.
    • An exception to this rule can be made only if acting in self-defense. Please retain video evidence so a report can be made against the player attempting to break this rule.
  2. No Combat-Logging
    • Combat-logging is prohibited. If you’re engaged in a fight, you must carry forth the battle or flee to the nearest safezone to log off.
    • This rule extends to logging off inside of another player’s base (unless consented). This is also prohibited – to keep players from logging back in and killing players “by surprise”.

Vehicles

  1. One vehicle per player
    • As vehicles in DayZ are mods, having numerous vehicles spawned on the map at once can cause server performance issues. To battle this, we kindly ask that all players garage their vehicles when not in use for an extended period of time. If you don’t plan on using your vehicle for over 5 or more minutes, please store it.
    • Players are only permitted to have one vehicle spawned at a time. For example, you may have one quad out but if you wish to spawn a helicopter, you must store your quad before spawning the helicopter in.
    • Note: Inventory items do not stay in the vehicle when being stored in the garage. Any inventory items in the vehicle when stored WILL be lost permanently.

Group Rules

    • Currently, groups are limited to FOUR (4) members.
    • You are prohibited from team killing. Team killing will be treated as clan insiding and is subject to a ban.
    • Grouping up or “pairing” with other groups is prohibited.

Base Building

  • Please refer to the map for more insight.
  1. Build Zones
    • Building zones are areas that are not marked on the map with a red circle with lines going through it.
    • Essentially, you are permitted to build anywhere on the map that isn’t a “hot-zone”.
    • Flag poles are a requirement. They also prevent other players from claiming your base and building in your territory.
    • For help with building your base, please refer to our help guide which can be found in our Discord, or by clicking here.
  2. No-Build Zones
    • No-build zones are marked on the map with red circles with lines going through it.
    • These zones signify that you are not permitted to build in that area.
    • Bases that are built in these zones are subject to deletion without notice.
  3. Trap Bases
    • Building bases with the purpose to trap other players is strictly prohibited and can be subject to removal and a ban.
  4. Base Restrictions
    • Players & Groups are allowed ONE base each. If caught with additional bases, all of your bases will be subject to deletion.
    • You are prohibited from blocking entrances to your base.
    • Players must have the ability to raid fairly if located in a PvP zone.
    • Raiders must be able to move freely throughout your base. Forcing players into a defenseless animation is prohibited and will result in base deletion.
    • Building around community resources (roads, water supply, ATMs, etc) is prohibited.

Rules of the Raid

  1. Soft Raiding
    • Players are permitted to soft raid in any zone (PvP or PvE) so long as explosives or any other forcible entry strategies aren’t used.
  2. Hard Raiding
    • Hard raiding is only permitted in PvP zones.
    • You are only permitted to use explosive methods on doors and windows of bases. Destroying walls, roofs, or floors is not a legal raiding strategy and will result in a complete wipe of your player account.
  3. Raiding Schedule
    • Hard raiding is only permitted on the following days:
      • Saturday
      • Sunday
  4. Raid Restrictions
    • Players are only permitted to raid in the zones their base resides in.
    • For example, if you build your base in PvE, you are only permitted to soft raid in PvE zones. Hard raiding is not permitted in PvE. Alternatively, if you build your base in PvP zones, you are permitted to soft/hard raid exclusively in PvP zones but you cannot raid a base located in a PvE zone.
    • Whilst hard raiding, you are permitted to strip the base entirely, however, the structure must remain as well as a flag pole. Destroying the flag pole or structure is considered griefing as it compromises the base integrity, causing it to despawn.

Safe Zones

  • Please refer to the map for insight.
  • Safe zones are zones marked with a green circle.
    • Players are prohibited from stealing other player’s items whether from the ground or inside a player’s vehicle inventory. An example of this includes: A player purchasing an item from the trader but drops it on the ground, you picking up that item is considered theft unless explicitly stated by the purchaser that you may take the item.
    • PvP is strictly prohibited in a safe zone.
    • Vehicles may not be stolen in the safe zone.
    • Vehicles are not permitted within the trader area of the safe zone. For Green Mountain, this includes the entire area within the gates. For Altar, this includes any area with vending machines.
    • Each safe zone is equipped with parking areas for vehicles. While vehicles are required to be stored if untouched for longer than 5 minutes, we do permit parking them within these spaces if you only plan to be “in and out” of the traders.
    • If you do not plan to store your vehicle, it is required that you park your vehicle in the designated parking spot. This keeps the roads free and clear of player’s vehicles and allows for free maneuverability.
